About Us
Rod
Rod is a Melbourne native who has spent the last 20 years in the South Island of New Zealand. He started working for Oracle as a graduate in Melbourne, and spent over 10 years there mainly working as a DBA for Oracle Support.
Since then he has morphed into a .NET developer working in the health and finance sectors.
He is a dedicated family man who spends most of his time working or doing “kid stuff”, but he has always had lots of interests, such as: music (blues and roots), architecture, finance, photography, science and nature, travel and all things sporting.
Rod always liked to laugh a lot and enjoy life and wants to do more of that again. He has found his lucky charm to help him do this. He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge, experience and stories with a wide audience.
Kess
Kess is a Bangkok native who likes to remind Rod that she is four years younger. She is a worldly wise soul, having studied in the UK and New Zealand, and living and working in the US for a considerable period of time.
Once again she has come back to New Zealand, lured by the charms of a certain Aussie fella. She is slowly building her resistance to the cold winters of the South Island.
She enjoys all sorts of cooking and good food. From baking bread and pizzas, amazing Thai food and wonderful healthy treats. She also enjoys travelling and experiencing the world and her goal is to do more of that in the future.
Kess is looking forward to sharing her skills and insights with a wide audience and bringing joy to people’s lives (just like she has to Rod).
